I am on my 2nd Kenmore (Whirlpool) gas dryer and the same thing is happening. While the clothes are drying, rust colored streaks appear on the clothes. They don't come out with bleach or stain remover. We have to turn everything inside out. We still get the streaks, they're just on the inside! I'm done with these dryers.

The foreign companies are getting close to the quality you are seeking. I just wrote a review of the Whirlpool, LG, Electrolux, and Miele washer/dryer sets and the german Miele came out well ahead. Price wise they are not much more expensive.

Hope that helps!

7 years ago we bought what we thought was going to be a great dryer. Since then,

we have spent more money in maintenance than we did on the original cost of the dryer. The idler and coils had to be replaced, new drum seal, thermo fuse, etc. Whirlpool is a terrible product. The paint is rubbing and the dyer looks worse that the 15 year old washer.

This is a terrible situation in America, appliances are going the way of the auto.. If a foreign company can build a quality appliance that will go 10 yrs w/o maint. the US appliance industry will be ......history.
