I brought the piece to a local welder for inspection .

He thought that the spade connector was spot welded to the burner element .

My concern is that mere electrical solder ( melting point as low as 360 degrees) may not withstand the burner temperature .

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

I was researching electrical burner coil temps and have not seen definitive answers, just much speculation.

The spade blade which was soldered / welded to the electric burner snapped off.

Is there a proper way to reconnect this spade terminal. The other terminals appear to be merely soldered into place.

When I tried to re-solder with much sanding and fluxing , I could not get the new solder to stick .

What is the correct method ?

Perhaps it requires a high temp spot weld ??
