Comments

  1. I have had same problem with kenmore 79096009601, burner comes on when turned off. Sears was no help. Won’t help since it was not on recall list. Never again from sears or kenmore

  2. A lot of your stuff might be made by Whirlpool. Try them.As to your icemaker pberlom (leaking water), many icemakers get stuck on the water refill cycle because of ice buildup in the icemaker. Mine has done it twice and there is nothing wrong with the thing. Both times I had gallons of water to clean up. You can buy small water detectors that use a 9V battery. They are less than $ 20 and an alarm sounds when water on the floor is detected. I have rigged mine to shut the water off to the icemaker if the alarm goes off, but that might be too involved for you. Was this answer helpful?

  3. I have a Kenmore electric Range model 790-9602 worked fine for 6 yrs recently the stove took a spell and would not turn on then the power came on by it self and worked fine but the top burners would not come on then the problem disapeared , now my wife was gonna cook something and was preheating the oven and about 5 min later the bottom element made a spark and burned through and the breaker kicked off . I reset the breaker and now nothing works the top doesnt come on , no power in the push button panel this also needs to be recalled , consumer beware
