My Magic chef portable ice maker model MCIM30SST will make ice one cycle when plugged in and pressing start button. After dumping the first batch of ice it begins the second cycle and the "add water" light comes on and it does not fill the tray even though the water is still 90% full.

The oddity is that it fills the tray and operates fine the first cycle but then senses that there is a need for water when in fact the reservoir is still full.

Thanks for any help.
