I have a whirlpool GS475LEMS 2

Long story, but I REALLY need some help.

My oven worked one day, and the next day it did not. I did my research and found that both of my ignitors (bake and broil) are recieving power, but neither of them glow. I discovered that my DSI was sending power to the ignitors, but was never sending a signal to open the gas regulator.

I tested both of the ignitors and both are operational. After talking to some appliance guys over the phone, the two pin pointed the issue to the DSI. I bought one from Sears, installed it, still no bake or broil. It was a refurb that had the same brownish markings on the board as the one I was looking to replace. I contacted Sears and got a brand new DSI board (without any burn markings), installed it, and still, no bake or broil.

The top burners all work perfectly fine and I have not recieved any error codes what-so-ever. I have tried unpluging the appliance for 10 minutes, I checked all the electrical connections to make sure they are tight, the fuse is good, their are no cut or exposed wires.

When I hit bake, I do hear an audible "click-click" from the oven somewhere. The sound is just like the sound of someone pushing the ignitor for a gas grill.

I do not think it is the gas regulator because the DSI board never even sends the signal for it to open. I do not think it is the ignitors because the chances of BOTH bake and broil going bad at the same time is minimal, plus both have continuity. I also inspected both ignitors and did not see any cracks or damage on the ceramic what so ever.

I am at a complete loss here and whirlpool wants me to spend $120 for labor plus parts to get this thing fixed. PLEASE HELP! I have a voltometer, no electrical or appliance repair experience.

Thanks in advance!
