I purchased many Hoover and Candy products in April 2010. My Built in Fan Double Oven, my Dual wine cooler and my Fully Integrated electronic Dishwasher all ceased working properly last Friday - 1.5 years after purchase. Needless to say I was not impressed and contacted the Hoover Candy Group to see what my options were. They have told me that they can call out to repair these appliance'. The first call out will be €110.00 Euro second appliance would be €67.00 and third would be €50.00. I am wondering if you feel this is an acceptable response considering the products are not even two years old and the call out for the 3 items is in the same house, should I not just be charged once? I would appreciate your views on the matter.

Forgot to repost on this-- I ended up acceping what they had paid, wrote the customer a letter stating that, I felt they still owed me money and I would not be doing any more repair work for them until all monies had been paid. As of this date have not got any more money or work from them. Heard from a different service company [That I know very well] had refused to do work for them because of them owing me, and they told them that. Still do not feel I ever did anything wrong or dis-honest in my dealing with them.

Marlan Schmidt said:

I purchased an LG refrigerator in October of 2008, It was delivered in January of 2009. The icemaker freezes solid i a few days and it cannot deliver icecubes from it's dispencer. It takes dynamite or a blowtorch to loosen the ice cubes.

I have gotten nowhere with repairs or replacement. Repairmen have been out several times, with negative results. I would be happy to join in a Class Action suit against LG and Home Depot. Got any answere

I had a problem with ice freezing solid so I changed the water filter as it was way past it's useful date. The ice cube maker started working great.

Our expensive Dacor range broke for the last time in 7 years this summer, and so we hurriedly researched and purchased an Electrolux duel-fuel slide-in range from Sears a few days later. At an across-the-board cost of $2600 by Electrolux, it didn't matter where we purchased it but Sears promised us a delivery/install date two days later. Days passed, no one from Sears called, so we started our endless agony of trying to reach a human being when calling Sears -- even at the local store number, we rarely were able to speak with someone, let alone our salesperson (who was never there when we called and did not return our messages). Everyone we spoke with in the store, including customer service employees from the 800 number, had no idea where our new stove was and couldn't seem to locate it, although they assured us it had been shipped, and of course, our credit card was charged when we placed the order. THREE WEEKS and tons of phone calls later, we finally gave up when we were not able to speak with a manager -- any manager -- in Sears, including the manager of the large appliance department. We had to cancell our order with a TV/electronics employee because no one else answered the phone. By this time, the salesperson was mad enough to call us back and explained that while they understood it was frustrating, there was nothing anyone could do about it because nobody knew where the stove was. I advised that I had owned my own interior design business, and so I knew you could TRACK a package, let alone a gas range, but they said it was absolutely not possible. So, I angrily left the store and drove straight to the American store and purchased the exact same stove on a Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. The Electrolux stove from American was in Janesville, WI, but they assured me it would be shipped out the next day. That was Monday -- TWO DAYS ago. My new stove is installed today in my kitchen, less than 48 hours after we ordered it. Do not use Sears ever -- you will be sorry!!!!

I used to sell LG. People think they are getting a quality product with them, but they are honestly not. It is Korean made with very cheap materials. It is not built to last and the customer service is horrible. I actually had someone buy a new LG washer and dryer and replace them the next month because they were so fed up with the units.

I always tell people, stay clear of LG products if you can. Especially for important areas like refrigeration and laundry.
