To the person who recomended LG. Have you looked through the phonebook to find a servicer to work on an LG? I live in an area with around 200,000 to 300,000 people and NO ONE works on them. The only service company that did work on them quit in June of this year, seems they were not getting paid on warranty calls they performed on broke machines for them. Some calls as old as 9 months. From what I have read on them (LG) the refrigarators are catching on fire, seems the inside light will not turn off. I myself have seen 2 that did this exact thing. Scary!!

Yeah the WM2010CW has been around for a while. Not sure I agree with your statement that all the reviews are complaints though, it was rated 4.8 out of 5 on average, so if thats what a complaint gets you, rating wise, I'm confused.

I just read the review you recommend and the review is for a n older machine, I think. Anyway, the comments from users are mostly complaints about it, but thanks anyway.

I've been doing some research into getting a new washer, and it looks to me like the LG front load washers tend to be pretty reliable and well liked by the people who've bought them. For example check out this LG WM2010CW review, where it seems like its a good value both for the features and size and durability.

we need to buy a new large capacity washer our 10 year old maytag front load died. is there a decent washer on the market today . from reading the many forums none seem to clean and aren't reliable. any help would be appreciated. consumer reports ratings seem to be politically correct. can't trust them.
