I removed the top and front of my GE Profile dryer (manufactured in 2010) and cleaned out the blower and vent. I got the front back on. I've spent hours trying to get the top back on. I loosened the control panel (4 screws at the top of the back) but that didn't help. Now the middle plastic tab that the top engages is cracked. It really annoys me to think I'll have to get a repairman here just to replace the top. This seems like a poor design.

Has anyone actually done this - and how?
