Don't know about the new ones but we have had GE profile washer and dryer set for 15 years with very few problems. I had to replace the heating element around year 7 with no dryer problems since. No problems at all with the washer but just in the lat month or so the transmission is sounding like it's on it's last leg. After 15 years we have just started shopping for new ones. They have been very good and reliable.
