I'd like to make sure I did this conversion properly. The appliance store sold me a new orifice (#42) and new regulator spring and rubber stopper piece that threades in over the spring, and a new brass cap that goes over the stopper and spring. The spring and rubber piece look identical to the old ones, I'm wondering if I really needed replacements. The brass cap however, no longer has the long white plastic stem that the old propane version had. Also there is no real indication of how far that rubber piece was supposed to be screwed in, it will just keep going if you want to. I eyeballed it to go into the regulator just enough so that the brass cap would thread all the way in behind it. I realize this all sounds confusing, I dont know how else to explain it. The orifice replacement was simple and straightforward. The dryer is working, but I wanted to run this by someone who knows, to let me know if there is something I may have done improperly.
