Thanks Servicetech. I didn't think of buying anything other than Sears, but I'll take a look at the Frigidaire too. 4-6 times a year! OK. Frost free it is. Thanks again for the response

6 ONE HALF A DOZEN THE OTHER. IT REALLY IS A PRICE ISSUE. HOW MUCH TO DO WANT TO SPEND? MOST "FROST FREES" ARE GOING TO BE MORE PRICEY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE MORE STUFF ON THEM, [I.E. DEFROST SYSTEM] IF YOU GET ONE THAT IS NOT FROST FREE YOU PROBALY WILL DEFROST IT ABOUT 4-6 TIMES A YEAR. I MYSELF HAVE A OLDER KENMORE UPRIGHT THAT IS FROST FREE, IT IS PROBALY AROUND 20 YEARS OLD, IT WAS MADE BY WHIRLPOOL, I DO NOT THINK THAT WHIRLPOOL MAKES FREEZERS ANY MORE. THE ONLY FREEZERS THAT THE COMPANY THAT I WORK WITH SELLS IS FRIGADAIRE. WE DO NOT HAVE MUCH TROUBLE WITH THEM. HOPE THIS HELPS AND THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS.

Servicetech- you seem to know your stuff - I want to get a freezer for my garage. Sears sells ones that are not frost free. I think that means I will need to defrost it once a year or so. Is that right? The frost free freezers are more expensive. Which do you think is better? Thanks in advance.
