Tthe Sub-Zero BI36 unit, replaced their 650 model. As far as solid built refrigerators go, this unit is a beast. Your daughter would not be able to pull any of the shelves or drawers down.

A few other manufacturers you might want to check into would be Viking, Miele, and Electrolux Icon. They have some well built refrigeration units as well. Hope that helps!

I don't have suggestions, just want to add my complaint about the cheaper drawers whose fronts pull off when you open them. If we put more than half a drawer of food in ours, the fronts pull off. We have had them replaced and now we just put them back together. Mine is not a cheap model, it should not do this.

I can't seem to find a refrigerator which doesn't have drawers & tracks that are made of brittle plastic, therefore they crack and break when I use them to hold stuff. I guess the manufacturers really don't want their refrigerators to last at all (and it's dumb that I have to solve this problem, but I digress). I'd like to find a well made refrigerator with drawers that can hold weight, which are NOT made of plastic (or spill through wire). Any ideas?
