there is a "element on" light that comes on when any of the elements are turned on. Itoo have this problem where the light just stays on well after all the elements have been turned off.

Which light is on, the "HOT SURFACE" light or the "Surface unit on light" [indicator lites]? If the Hot Surface light is staying on, it is in one of the surface units, it has a sensor on the element, if the Surface unit on light is on the problem is in one of the switches. From the parts breakdown it looks like you have 4-Hot Surface lights and 2 surface [indicator] lights This unit was build by Frigidaire

Hello,

My Kenmore Electric Range Model 790.9435/9436 is out of warranty and its ElementOn light stays on even after every element is turned off for hours. Here is the manual

Has any one else run into same issue? Any ideas?
