Kenmore is a store-brand, period.

Many manufacturers provide K-Mart / Sears with appliances to be retailed under the Kenmore brand name.

K-Mart / Sears (or Kenmore) does NOT manufacture any appliances.

Chris, I think Kenmore is made by Whirlpool. I remember that Whirlpool used to make Kenmore washers and dryers.

Man!! Did you see the other posts on this site? I'd be careful around Maytag- that's for sure. Also, you could check to see who's had a lot of recalls lately.

Kate, we have a whirlpool fridge that is about 15 years old and just getting to the point that we are thinking of replacing it. It's been great, so we plan to look at Whirlpool again.
