I had a similar problem with my PSS26SGPASS GE Profile 'frig. I found the issue was a corroded connector. This connector was under the 'frig on the freezer side. Remove to grill ont eh bottom for easy access to the wires. It was the control wire for the ice dispenser. The connector was so corroded that I cut it out and just soldered the wires together. I don't plan on removing the freezer door so I wasn't worried about the connector being removed. I haven't had a problem with the ice dispenser since I fixed that.

It would have to be the control board in the dispenser area. I have no other guess at this time. The part number is WR55X10415 retails at my parts house for around $70.

GE Profile Refrigerator PSS26SGRE Ice Dispenser Problem. Water and Ice use the same dispenser arm to despense

Water or Ice based on the selection pressed. Ice maker produces ice to bucket, water dispenses just fine. Ice button

selected on control pad, dispenser arm depressed, cant hear solenoid activating (Clack) and no auger drive motor

activity. Checked door switch & hinge connections. I took off the front panel selection board and tested with only a

test light. When I press the dispenser arm for water the light comes on

and water is dispensed. (note that this has started to be itermintant. sometimes no water but after a few minutes it

suddenly works agian.) This started with the Ice but quickly stopped. Now with Ice selected and dispenser arm pressed

the light comes on but almost instantly dims and of course no ice, no sound etc. The Ice bucket is in perfect shape and

nothing is broken. when I take out the ice bucket, I can turn the motor with ease, so its not iced up.

Please provide me with any help
