I just moved into a place that has a Maytag refrigerator, top freezer model. For the past coupl of days it has made popping and crackling noises at the back of the freezer compartment.

The only thing that mskes sense is something in the auto defrost area.

Any help would be appreciated on this one.

Thanks in advance.
