Frigidaire is horrible. 4-1/2 year old side by side is dead. The evaporator, condenser, dryer, and compressor all need to be replaced. This happened on March 30th and we are still today May 5th, waiting on Frigidaire to repair the unit. We're on the 4th service call, and now they "forgot" to order one of the required parts. Please note that the manufacturer's warranty coveres all sealed components for 5 years. Basically every sealed component has to be replaced. We have had to argue this point over and over with both Frigidaire and the service reps even though it is clearly stated in the warranty.

We have since purchases another refridgerator and have no plans on buying from Frigidaire again.

The product is awful and so is the service.

Working on everything for around 30+ years, I would say any more to stick with either Whirlpool or Frigidaire. Everyone [as I have stated before] has problems from time to time. But sticking with one of the two mentioned, you are almost guarantied to have service available anywhere in the US. So then if you do have problems you can get it worked on quick.

We are in the market to buy a new refrigerator (french door), stove (gas), and dishwasher. We want all stainless steel appliances and for them all to match. We've spent hours and hours shopping and we've heard conflicting reports from everyone.

We were settled on LG, but heard their appliances suck, we looked at Kenmore, but supposedly they just brand a bunch of appliances from other manufacturers which turned me off a bit, we've looked at Whirlpool and generally liked their stuff. We liked Samsung, but we've heard the ranges from Samsung aren't great. We're sick and tired of all the back and forth from all the sellers. Can anyone provide us some brand feedback?

hi,

my family has been trusting whirlpool for years now. whirlpool is one of the leading brands, producing durable french door refrigerators. Ours is whirlpool and it has been in good condition since we bought it. Just read the manual so that you may know how to maintain its good condition. that's what we did...our food is well kept and fresh all the time. try whirlpool, i highly recommend it.

Us too! We're basically in the same situation - wanting to replace all of our GE Profile kitchen appliances because they are so unreliable. What is the best brand for the french door fridge? A gas range? A dishwasher? Is one brand good at all of those, or do we need to mix and match for best results? thanks in advance for any brand feedback and advice the more experienced among you may be able to provide.
