I bought a new BlueStar gas range. It leaked gas the minute it was installed. BlueStar sent repairmen to fix it. The second time they gave me an extra warranty "white glove". This week they decided that giving me the extra warranty "was a mistake" and they will not honor it. In addition, after trying numberous times to fix the range, they decided they will not continue to cover repairs. The range is still within the first year since purchase and has never worked properly. In fact, the gas comjpany checked it out for me and made me leave the gas off until fixed. Gas company also verified that the gas pressure was correct and not causing any problems. All my other gas appliances work fine, as did my provious Bosch range. I have contacted the Store that sold me the range to see if they can help. I do not want to have to sue Bluestar since I am in Illinois and they are in Pennsylvania. This is the last time I purchase an appliance from a very small private company that can just say "no" (unlike a big company like a GE that would protect their name and fix the range to aviod adverse publicity).

I think the range would be fun to cook on if it actually worked.
