The filter you get are only grease filters. You need to get a charcoal filter if you want to eliminate the odors from cooked foods such as fish. Grease filters can last a while because you can put them in the upper rack of your dishwasher and clean them.

I need some advice on ventless range hoods.

Is the quality of new filters better than in the past ?

    Who makes the best ?

    Thanks.                       Tim Anderson
