My friends had one years ago and used it outside during the summer months to keep the house cool.  It uses less electricity than an oven too.

I'm guessing like any appliance, it depends on the quality of the appliance itself.  Is the heating element good, does it heat evenly, all that.  Also, do you follow directions well?  The user has to know what to do.

Can anyone tell me if those countertop turkey roasters are any good?  They are on sale at Target and other places right now.  I have a small oven and need to make two turkeys for Thanksgiving.  Do they work?  Is the turkey good?
