The problem is how to find a good repairperson. Also, so many companies are going out of business. I could buy the fridge and if it breaks we won't be able to get parts.

It really is a price issue and how it will fit in your exsiting area, really one is not better than another. As I always tell people MAKE SURE THAT WHATEVER YOU BUY THERE IS A SERVICER NEARBY!!!!!!!!!!!
Every make and model will have trouble at one time or another, nobody is immune to problems, to have someone that knows how to work on your product is how I buy stuff.

I need a new refrigerator and wondered about the differences between the different styles. I kind of like the side-by-side look, but is that better than the freezer on top kind?
