Thank you for responding to my question!  I will look those models up and compare.  I feel like my insurance company is not offering me enough money on my replacement.  I am trying to make sure I get enough $ to replace the solid disk cook top with it's equal in today's market.  It's difficult to determine it's value since they don't make it anymore.  I wish I could find out what it retailed for and I could go from there.  I don't want to leave any $ on the table!

Would this model,  GE JP340BMBB or this, GE JP346 be similar?

They are both electric, smooth top, black, electric cook-tops that retail for between $600 – $760.

I hope this helps.

I had a kitchen fire and my cooktop was ruined. I have replacement value on my homeowners policy which means that the insurance company will replace my cooktop with another cooktop that is comparable.  The existing cooktop is a GE model # JP333L 2 P1WG solid disk cooktop 30″.  GE doesn't make the solid disk cooktop anymore and I do not know what would be considered an equal replacement in today's market.  Some of the features on it are Sensi-Temp control, built in temperature limiters, regular solid disk elements, Sensi-Temp solid disk element and tempered glass top.  Is there anyone out there that could tell me what the retail price range on these cooktops was or what would be considered it's equal today?  I need a retail price range or model number that is it's equal.  Thank you for helping me—–I desperately need it!!!!  I believe the insurance company is low-balling me.
