I think you can just buy a plug replacement at a hardware store. If you don't have experience with electricial stuff, I would suggest taking it to a local repair shop. It shouldn't cost too much to get it fixed.

the cord on my vacuum is ripping near the plug and I wonder how to replace it myself? I've never done this. Is it easy? It looks like it should be easy to do.
