Been thinking about getting one of these units and was worried about the impact on the enviroment.

Turns out that they are getting beter and better at the efficiency of these units.

This artical is really good, just puts it in plain english.

The rest of the site is pretty good too. Even though from what I heae evap cooling (wether you like it or not) uses less energy.
