Inspired and PVC pipe joints can be laid to rest straight, though PVC is more vulnerable to harm from being hit. Natural gas is usually provided in dark metal …  Smile

Use galvanized threaded steel for gas distribution pipes; it is a better choice than copper because it can take more abuse

Any pipe buried will rust ,sooner or later. I had a friend that used pvc as a chase and ran black pipe throught it. I do not know if this was a good or bad thing. I do not use blackpipe on a day to day basis , therefore I do not know the rules or regulations on such. Which [I'm sure]varies from state to state and city to city.
