Through our language barrier, "Blas" explained to me that my model needed to end in 101 not 900! Really? I am on the phone with CPSC hotline now. She double checked and no - the product is not covered. She said that if the compliance officer gets enough complaints he might add more models to the list. Unfortunately, not every victim is aware of this forum and not everyone that is will contact the CPSC. Repair or replace - that is the question. As mentioned before - it sure won't be a Sears/Kenmore product.
