I just found the recall info your site provided, called Electrolux and got right thru to customer service, very helpful gentleman helped me. They’re right on it! The site didn’t work for me either, nothing came up-call them!

we are very sorry for your inconvenience of the recall on ur vac that was on recall we have changed our status from 7-10 business days to 30 days beacuse of such the high call volume that we have had if you have not recived your unit please give us a call to see what the status is are recall number is 1800-932-1778 give a call 10am-7.30pm CST and we can look further into it

Hello my name is tanica and i work for electroulx recall if your seral number falls in the range of 074000001 through 08100001 through 7400001 or 85100001 if your model#s are EL1000B EL1000A EL1000BX EL1005A EL10006A or PE EL1000B then they would fall in the range if you have a 12.0 Volt then it would not be on recall but if you purches a 9.6 Volt then it would be on recall if you interasted in a Free Replcemnt give us a call 10:am-7:30pm CST at are Recall Number 1800-932-1778

I sent my stickvacum on April 20, 2009 due to recall. No word yet on what’s going on or when are they going to send it back to me. I’ve been calling for the last 3 days but no one answers the given 1800 number. Today, May 27, I called and hold my speakerphone for an hour, for an hour and still did not get an answer. Is anybody working on this recall. Just send my vacum back no questions ask & I will just return it to Costco and never buy any of your products again. You have one unhappy customer still waiting for reply. I will for sure write the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter.
