I sent mine in after it caught on fire. Thankfully I was right near it so quickly unplugged it then looked it u[ to see the recall. I had no idea and issues were reported. It was in January and still waiting for the replacement. It is now March,25 and still nothing. Called the number and they said they can see the request but they can not tell me anything else.

Will S., I just checked the Holmes recall page and if you follow the link from our site, it is still there. Once you get to the page you will need to provide the last four digits of the model number. I hope this helps.

It seems that Holmes has taken down the recall website for the oil filled heaters. I managed to send one of mine back, but I guess I won’t get to send the other. BTW, the replacement is a very nice unit, much better than the original.

Hi, I’m glad you found the recall here, but we are not The Holmes Group, nor are we affiliated with them in any way. Appliance.net posts recalls from the Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) as a service to help consumers. In order to get your replacement heaters you will need to contact The Holmes Group who manufactures the heaters. Their phone number is (800) 306-2471. You can also look at the bottom of the recall notice where we have posted both this phone number and the direct link to the Holmes website. Good luck.

We have 14 Holmes oil filled heaters that we are using in our retreat guest rooms; Model #HOH2505 production #2606 that are on the recall list. What type of replacement heaters will you send us and how long will it take?
